The organization has a good relationship with the government especially coordination with the relevant stakeholders like the Ministry of Gender and Social Welfare, the Ministry of Youth and sports, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of labor, and they compile with the tax authority. In addition, being a women-led organization, SWCC was able to work together with the women’s General Union formed by the government to assist and coordinate women’s issues together. 

Furthermore, the organization has good working relationship with the Police Gender Desk where GBV cases are coordinated during protection, and also the court where some legal cases are referred to seek Justice in order to protect women and children when there is a need.

Successful projects

Condomize! South Sudan project

The Impact Health Organization in partnership with Support Women and Children in Conflict organization received funds from UNFPA to coordinate the CONDOMIZE! South Sudan campaign together with South Sudan AIDS Commission and other Civil Society organizations. This was a joint initiative from the ministry of health, South Sudan Aids Commission and the United Nations Population Fund, IHO & SWCC being the implementing organization. SWCC were able to map and install 98 condom dispensers in various locations of Juba.

Working together with the CONDOMIZE!  Team and shabab leshabab we were able to conduct two (2) CONDOMIZE!  Promotion outreaches in Munuki and Tongping

Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH)

SWCC received Reproductive Health Kits (Dignity Kits) as support in-kind from UNFPA South Sudan. The full-scale dignity kits were distributed to the adolescents in schools and in communities who sometimes misses lessons during their menstrual cycle due to lack of sanitary pads, therefore, SWCC distributed the dignity kits in Khorou IPD camp, Liwolo Payam in Kajokeji County, Central Equatoria State. These primary beneficiaries of this project were school going girls, Lactated mothers and vulnerable women with disabilities that were affected by the conflict in Kajo-Keji, and were cut off from basic services and support while seeking refuge and they lack basic items which can meet the specific hygiene needs for women.

Lui Community School Construction Project (Dr. Pietro Boschetti P/S

Construction of Dr, Pietro Boschetti Primary School that is community school in Lui Payam, Mudri East County, Western Equatoria, South Sudan. SWCC in partnership with African Mission Foundation in Netherlands has finally surpassed all the paperwork stage. we shall officially hand over the school to the community after the completion of the project, God bless SWCC, God bless the African Mission Foundation and God bless South Sudan!

Lui Community School Construction Project (Dr. Pietro Boschetti P/S

Construction of Dr, Pietro Boschetti Primary School that is community school in Lui Payam, Mudri East County, Western Equatoria, South Sudan. SWCC in partnership with African Mission Foundation in Netherlands has finally surpassed all the paperwork stage. we shall officially hand over the school to the community after the completion of the project, God bless SWCC, God bless the African Mission Foundation and God bless South Sudan!

With the support of African Mission, SWCC was able to supported community schools through supplying school desks. The pupils were so excited for their first time sitting on desks. Schools with desks report increased attendance rates and higher retention among girls, who often skip school when they are menstruating, rather than sit on the classroom floor.

With the continues support from African Mission Foundation in Netherlands, SWCC was able to install solar panels to the constructed school in Lui Payam for the pupils to have their prep during evening hours.

Psychosocial support (Trauma Healing and counseling)

Through our solicited funding, SWCC in partnership with Y-Global is implementing Trauma Healing and Counseling as part of the UNSCR 1325 projects on Women involvement in Peace and security in South Sudan. The project started in 2018 to help South Sudanese recover after the long civil war and in South Sudan. Under this program it’s through which SWCC address issues of GBV, Child protection.

Through the Psychosocial support program, SWCC offers counseling and trauma healing to the members of the community, legal aid and legal advice and dispute resolution on GBV. This project has positively impacted on the lives of the community through improved access to justice for vulnerable community members, reduced rate of domestic violence, increased awareness of human rights and peace building at the grassroots revels.

Peace Building and Peacemakers program.

SWCC has formed so far over 30 peace maker group of youth all over South Sudan focusing with the aim of promoting peaceful coexistence, unity and social cohesion among the communities of South Sudan through interactive ways.

Under this component SWCC engage youth in peace prompting activities such as drama, sports, songs, and dancing. Training on their roles in Peace and nation building as well as conflict resolution and management. The groups also use social media such Facebook, WhatsApp and Radio Stations to disseminate messages of peace to the public.

Economic empowerment

This project aims at improving the livelihood of Women in the rural communities of South Sudan so that they can be able to sustain their daily living and improve their standard of living.

Under this component community member are trained on how to economically utilize their small spaces in homes to produce food and vegetables on a subsistence component. 60% of the produce is eaten at home and the 40% is sold off to sustain their feminine economic demands

Distribution of VSLA items to support VSLA groups in Budi County, Eastern Equatoria State

SWCC has working groups of 15 -30 members. The groups meet to save and discuss other important issues that can empower them so that by the time the project ends, they are self-sustained.
